Blue-Naped Mouse-birds, Baringo Kenya

Baringo Mouse-birds.

Many thanks for all the support for Seedballs Kenya with the Index Awards. W didn't win the main prize in our category, but we came away with a wealth of new knowledge and invaluable contacts. Getting to know our fellow finalists and the Index team and supporters in Copenhagen was a hugely inspiring and confidence-building experience.

PLEASE CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW TO GET TO THE RIGHT PLACE & THEN LIKE IT (otherwise the vote doesn't count, as it has to be through the Index Awards FB page)

We need the most LIKES & COMMENTS to win.  Teddy, Amy and myself are attending the ceremony on the 6th September.

The Aberdares Range, Kenya

12,500 ft. up in the Aberdares. The peak, near here, is 13,100 ft. The tree-line is probably around 11,000 ft. Low O2 and lots of rain.

Batfish, Seychelles

Something different, something aquatic. Several of these big (75cm) Hump-backed Batfish followed us around like puppies whenever we were snorkeling off our hotel in the Seychelles. Lovely company!

Hot Elephant, Masai Mara Kenya

Heat haze in the Mara. February is normally the hottest month, and the Ellie's ears keep flapping, used as large radiators to keep the blood (and body) cool.
