Grasp, pull, kick. It takes a bit of practice, but this is how elephants
graze. The 'kick' uses the toenails to scuff at the base of the grass
to loosen it from the earth and dislodge soil from roots. Excess soil is
shaken off with a flick of the trunk. This little fellow is aiming a bit high....
