Silver Backed Jackal, Masai Mara Kenya
Silver-Backed Jackal. Commonly seen in pairs, these small
canids are considered to be an ancient species & little changed
since the Pleistocene era which ended some 12,000 year ago. Why change
the design if it works??

Learning to Graze, Masai Mara Kenya
Grasp, pull, kick. It takes a bit of practice, but this is how elephants
graze. The 'kick' uses the toenails to scuff at the base of the grass
to loosen it from the earth and dislodge soil from roots. Excess soil is
shaken off with a flick of the trunk. This little fellow is aiming a bit high....
