Long-Tailed Widowbird- Nakuru, Kenya
Taken this weekend in Lake Nakuru Park, this Long-Tailed Widowbird has, to me, always been associated with unspoilt tall grasslands. During mating season when not dragging it's outrageous tail around just above grass-top height (often hovering against a mild headwind), it can be seen briefly as it reapeatedly leaps into the air a foot or two above the grasses- packing down a ring-shaped dance floor in the process.

HELLO,
ReplyDeleteI love writing and today I was writing on birds. This pic has been an inspiring photograph that I though the best way to share this beauty is by attaching it to my article. I live in KENYA and I'd like to support your photography in this way today, I hope I have your permission to do so. I can share with you the link to the article if it gets posted or on your preferred forum.
Regards
Miryam
No problem with that Miriam. Karibu.
