Cheetah with Reedbuck kill. Masai Mara Kenya
Taken this weekend in the Mara, this mature female cheetah was enjoying a feast of Reedbuck when I happened by. Three solitary cheetahs we seen in a single morning in the Mara Triangle- I assume the population is healthy- there's certainly plenty of plains game.

Stunning photo! I remember how excited we got when finding such scenes. We'd turn off the vehicle and, surrounded by such vast silence, we'd listen to the cheetah crunching and ripping flesh, and the rustle of breezes in the grasses. Thanks for transporting me back to the Mara!
