Silvery-Cheeked Hornbill, Mt. Kenya
A B&W portrait of the Silvery-Cheecked Hornbill. There are three
theoretical reasons for possessing such a big 'casque': 1- It's sexy
& attracts mates, 2- it assists in cooling the otherwise well
insulated bird, and 3- it is a sound amplifier (which could also be
sexy). Maybe all 3?
