This old fella from the Mara has damaged his tusks over the year- probably from fighting.

Hot Air Balloons Over The Mara
Balloons over the Mara. These 15 to 20 person monsters take off an dawn
for an hour's flight south along the river daily. Last I heard it was
$400 per person including a champagne breakfast on landing. Fortunately, wildlife have become accustomed to their looming presence and
roaring fiery breath.
Add this to your Bucket List!

Topi, Masai Mara Kenya
It's difficult to sneak up on a Topi. They prefer open short grass areas,
survey their surroundings from atop termite mounds, and can move at high
speed with a peculiar stiff-legged 'pronk'.

Wildebeest & the Mara River
As if swimming across croc-infested rivers wasn't enough, many
Wildebeest don't make it to the water's edge due to poor judgement in
choosing crossing points. Survival of the smartest just doesn't seem to
be a factor in this animal's evolution.

Kory Bustard, Masai Mara Kenya
A Kory Bustard. The adult male is Africa's heaviest flying bird, so understandably it prefers to walk.

Cheetah Brothers, Masai Mara Kenya
I've posted a couple other pics of these Cheetah brothers before-
hopefully not this one. This pair wanders back and forth across the
broad grasslands between the Mara Triangle (in Kenya) and the Serengeti
in Tanzania. Cheetah territories within the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem are
usually over 30 square kilometers in size.
