Mongoose & Puff Adder, Masai Mara Kenya

If there's one thing that gets a group Banded Mongooses excited, it's a big 'ol Puff Adder. This was a stand-off in the Mara. The snake didn't strike & the dozen or so Mongooses kept juuuuuust out of reach.

Saddle-billed Stork, Masai Mara Kenya

A Saddle-Billed Stork. One of the larger birds to seen stalking the veldt or wading in swamps. Male and female are are virtually identical- this is a female as evidenced by it's bright yellow eyes (male eyes are brown).
