You may be aware that buffalo horns are made up of densified hair.... well there appear to be some hair styles as well- as evidenced by the middle buff's 'bouffant'. This  could be in response to horn damage when young.

Kenyan Frog- Laikipia Plateau

I don't know the common name or genus-species, but If I were to name it afresh I'd call it the African Gold-Eye Frog. Anybody care to ID it for me? Photographed in a small permanent spring on the Laikipia Plateau, north of Mt. Kenya.

Red Billed Hornbill- Meru Park, Kenya

Along with the Go-Away Bird, this Red Billed Hornbill is a common camp follower in the scrubby dry areas of Kenya. The hornbill has an interesting nesting tactic- sealing the female with mud in a hollow tree. The male feeds her and young through a small hole until young are ready to fly.

Manic Elephant- Meru Park, Kenya

This young elephant seemed rather frisky and made a game out of trotting along abreast of our vehicle for a while.

Kori Bustard- Meru Park, Kenya

The Kori Bustard- Ardeotis kori struthiunculus- can be up to 50 inches in length & stalks the grasslands looking for small animals including snakes, lizards, birds and insects.

Second pic of three in this series. Some males bite the lioness' nape when mating.... this one is more affectionate. Lions mate every 15 to 20 minutes for up to three days. The lioness is an 'induced ovulator'- requiring the stimulus of repeated copulation to release ova.
